Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment to Accessibility

The Global Advocacy of Blind and Low Vision Muslims (GABLVM) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. As an organization founded by and for blind and low vision individuals, accessibility is fundamental to everything we build.

We continuously improve the user experience for everyone by applying established accessibility standards and testing with real assistive technology users.

Conformance Status

This website conforms to Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 standard. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), define how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities.

We verify this in two complementary ways. Every week, automated scans with two independent engines, axe-core by Deque and WAVE by WebAIM, cover every public page of the site, including all tools, articles, legal pages, and archives; our most recent scan, on September 23, 2026, returned zero WCAG 2.2 Level AA violations and zero WAVE errors on both engines. Just as importantly, the site is tested by hand with real assistive technology, including VoiceOver, by blind and low vision people, alongside keyboard-only navigation, because automated tools catch only part of what matters and lived experience with a screen reader catches the rest.
